earwax is normal and usually clears on its own. when it builds up it can dull your hearing, block a hearing aid, cause earache, tinnitus or a feeling of fullness — and it rarely resolves by itself once it is impacted.
we use microsuction: a gentle suction device combined with a magnified view of the ear canal. unlike syringing there is no water involved, so the procedure is dry, quick and can be carried out safely even if you have a perforated eardrum or a history of ear surgery.
most appointments take under 30 minutes and both ears are treated in the same visit where needed.
