about steven.

steven graduated from sheffield hallam university in 2009 and spent three years at chesterfield royal hospital — covering musculoskeletal physiotherapy, the hands team, orthopaedics and rheumatology.

that breadth shapes the way he approaches assessment today: methodical, unhurried, and built on a habit of proving the diagnosis before committing to a plan.

  • For the past 3 months I have been coming in for treatment by Steven Workman. Today he signed me off as fit and no need to return. I cannot commend Steven enough for his work. His demeanor is calm and friendly, he engages in a wide range of conversation to take my mind off the pain, and he explains extremely well the mechanisms behind the manipulations that he is making. He diagnosed my issue expertly with a range of tests, and started each session by measuring improvement in those same tests. I could see the progress each time, and took on board the need to continue home exercise to see improvement. It’s the second course of treatment I have had at Newcastle Physiotherapy, and I have been very impressed each time. Your clinicians’ understanding of sports injuries is the reason I first attended, and I have been impressed with their commitment to get me back into action safely but quickly. Thanks again, I shall recommend you to my friends and athletes.
